Putts on a hole betting: one putt, two putts or a three-putt

How DraftKings' putts on a hole market works and how often one putt, two putts and three or more landed at the book's price, from 6,795 settled lines.

The putts market asks how many putts one player takes on one hole, in three outcomes: under 2.5 (one putt, or none), exactly two, and over 2.5 (three or more). A chip-in or a holed approach means no putts at all, which is under 2.5. A stroke from the fringe with the putter is not a putt in our count, which is strokes played from the green; books differ on this, so check the rules.

PropGolf prices every putts line DraftKings posts, hole by hole and live through the round, with our chance next to the book's. See the live board.

How often each outcome landed

We took every line DraftKings had open on this market that our model also priced, across 4 PGA Tour events, May to July 2026: 6,795 lines, one line being one outcome for one player on one hole. Each is settled from shot-by-shot tracking data at the first price we saw, and only prices quoted before the player teed off on the hole count. The book's chance is its price with the margin taken out in proportion to each price (how that works). Return is what backing every line at the posted price would have made per unit staked.

DraftKings posted this market in only 4 of the events we priced, so this is the thinnest sample of the hole markets; treat the figures as a guide. The three prices add up to about 108%, a margin of 8.4%. A three-putt was priced at 2.7% and happened 1.6%, so backing every over 2.5 lost 48.9% of stakes: on tour three-putts are rare, and the price on them carries the most margin. Exactly two and under 2.5 sat close to their prices.

What decides it

Mostly the length of the first putt, which is set by the approach, since make rates fall quickly with distance. Our model prices each line from where the player's approach is likely to finish and their own putting at each distance. The make rates themselves are in how often PGA Tour pros make putts.
