The fairway pays at the green
On the par-4 4th, 69% of approaches from the fairway find the green. From the rough, 18%. That 51-point gap is the largest on the course.
Most accurate drivers in this week's field: Paul Peterson (75%) and Ben Kohles (74%), against 61% for the field, each measured across all their captured events.
The wrong side
On the par-4 5th, an approach that misses left ends in bogey or worse 47% of the time (94 misses). Missing right costs 11% (74 misses). Yet 56% of missed greens go left, and the pattern held in both years.
The green that decides the round
The par-4 13th is held just 62% of the time. Hit it and bogey or worse is 8%; miss it and it is 56%.
Best greens-in-regulation players in the field: Ben Kohles (73%) and Thomas Rosenmueller (73%), against 68% for the field, each measured across all their captured events.
The green you hit and still can't score on
The field hits the par-4 12th in regulation 82% of the time, and still birdies only 18% of those. Across the course, half of the holes convert a green in regulation to birdie more than 25% of the time.
What a tucked pin costs here
Players still find the green when the pin is tucked. What they lose is the birdie: on greens hit to a tucked pin the average first putt is 23 ft and 22% become birdies (969 greens), against 18 ft and 32% to an open pin (6,315). More on this in what a tucked pin costs.
